Day 1 Danum Valley Conservation Area / Borneo Rainforest Lodge / Nature Trail / Canopy Walkway / Night Safari Drive Your exciting adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel lobby or Lahad Datu Airport. You will then travel 2½ hours by car to the Danum Valley Conservation Area. Be prepared for a bumpy ride on some parts of the journey. Check-in at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, followed by an introduction and safety briefing from your guide. Embark on a nature trail with your guide to explore the 130-million-year-old rainforest of Danum Valley and spot wildlife along the way. Venture out onto the Canopy Walkway to see the rainforest from a different perspective. The Canopy Walkway is 360 metres in length and 27 metres high at its highest point. After dinner, your guide will take you on a Night Safari Drive where you can sit back, relax, and watch as your guide scans the dark for flickering eyes. Return to your lodge for well-deserved rest. Day 2 View Point / Coffin Cliff / Natural Jacuzzi / Water Tubing / Night Walk Rise to the songs of Bornean Gibbons – nature’s alarm clock – gently alerting you to another exciting day in Danum Valley! Start your day with a guided trek to see the View Point and Coffin Cliff, an ancient indigenous Kadazandusun burial site. Along the way, you will come across the Natural Jacuzzi pool, a luxury amidst the dense primary rainforest of Danum Valley. Take a short break while you have a refreshing dip in the pool! Upon return, it’s time for lunch! In the afternoon, you have the option to take another guided trek or a water tubing session down the Danum Valley river (weather permitting). The afternoon is free for your leisure. After dinner, embark on a guided night walk along one of the surrounding nature trails before retreating to bed for the night. Day 3 Fairy Falls / Serpent Falls / Segama River / Night Safari Drive or Walk Kick off your third day with a trek up to Fairy Falls and Serpent Falls, scenic waterfalls that welcome you with their streams of cool, cascading water. Take a break with a refreshing dip before returning to the lodge. After lunch, the afternoon is yours at your leisure. You have the option of embarking on a guided trek along the Segama River or enjoying some free time in nature. Day 4 Morning Walk / Afternoon Trek / Night Walk The day is yours to decide! You can choose to sleep in or take an early morning walk through the rainforest. After lunch, you may venture out onto another trail with your guide or indulge in your own leisure time.
