Home to a pristine primary rainforest, Tawau Hills Park offers an experience similar to Danum Valley, but at a fraction of the cost. This tour is perfect for nature lovers who value authentic, research-driven experiences over luxury. Immerse yourself in Borneo’s stunning biodiversity, where encounters with hornbills, red leaf monkeys, snakes, frogs, civets, and gibbons are part of everyday life.

Home to over 57 snake species, 87 types of frogs, 109 mammals, and 338 bird species, Tawau Hills Park offers exceptional wildlife viewing without the crowds. Spend your days trekking through lush jungle trails, visiting natural landmarks like Sulfur Springs, Table Waterfall, and Galas Waterfall, and hiking the Tallest Tree Trail, where you’ll stand beneath what was once the tallest tropical tree in the world. As night falls, venture into the forest on a thrilling night walk, a tour highlight where you can observe Borneo’s most elusive nocturnal creatures.

Unlike expensive private lodges, Tawau Hills Park offers a budget-friendly, back-to-nature experience, located just an hour from Tawau City. Perfect for eco-travellers, wildlife enthusiasts, and adventurers who don’t mind roughing it out, this journey offers an immersive, meaningful, and truly wild Borneo experience.
