Day 1 Lachau Bazaar / Batang Ai Lake / Nanga Sumpa Your journey begins with an exciting 08:00 hrs hotel pickup in Kuching as you prepare to delve into the heart of Borneo. Stop at the Lachau Bazaar, a vibrant marketplace where you can immerse yourself in local culture. Here, you'll have the chance to explore charming shops and the native market, soaking in the rich tapestry of traditions and crafts. Indulge in an early lunch at a local coffee shop and arrive at the pristine Batang Ai Lake around 13:30 to 14:00 hrs. Board a longboat, embarking on a mesmerizing journey upriver to our destination, Nanga Sumpa. Around 15:30 hrs, we'll arrive at this riverside paradise. Upon arrival, it's time to check into the rainforest lodge at Nanga Sumpa. As the sun dips below the horizon, savour a delicious dinner, and the evening is yours to unwind and connect with nature. Day 2 Enseluai Waterfall / Delok & Lalang Rivers / Lubok Kasai Jungle Camp After a hearty breakfast, lace up your hiking boots for a thrilling jungle trek along the river. The journey continues upriver by longboat, leading you to the breathtaking Enseluai Waterfall. Here, you can surrender to the beauty of nature, take a refreshing swim or simply bask in the pristine surroundings. A riverside BBQ lunch will be prepared by your Iban hosts. Hop onto a short boat ride to the confluence of the Delok and Lalang Rivers. The boat ride takes approximately 15 minutes. From here, a captivating trek of 1-2 hours through orangutan habitat brings you to the enchanting Lubok Kasai Jungle Camp. Settle in and allow the rainforest's serenity to wash over you, with the possibility of orangutan sightings at dusk or dawn. Day 3 Batang Ai Lake Jetty / Kuching Awaken to the soothing sounds of the jungle and a hearty breakfast amidst the rainforest. Depart at 08:30 hrs and head downriver towards the Batang Ai Lake Jetty, with an estimated travel time of 2 to 2.5 hours. Continue the journey overland back to Kuching, with a lunch stop on the way.
