Day 1

Kota Kinabalu/ Tamparuli Village Tour/ Kundasang

• Meet upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport –Warmest Welcome from Amazing Borneo Team.
• Transfer to local restaurant for lunch.
• Enroute to Kundasang (Base of Mountain), stopover at Tamparuli Village Tour. Visit historical wooden shop houses & experience Kadazan Dusun Tribe everyday lifestyle. Try walking across Sabah’s most famous suspension bridge (Jambatan Tamparuli), & Witness another historical 50+ years old vehicle bridge built by local headhunter tribe where many sacrifices were made during construction of this bridge.
• Another stopover at Pekan Nabalu, an opportunity to browse through local produce, tropical fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs.
• Arrival at Kundasang. Check into Mount Kinabalu Resort.
• Dinner.
• Overnight.

Day 2

Maragang Hill

• Rise and shine for your exciting overland adventure to Mesilau, Kundasang!
• 6:30 Hrs: Upon arrival at the registration office, meet your local guide for an introductory briefing before starting your hike. A four-wheel drive will transfer you to the trail's starting point. The hike itself will take approximately 2 hours.
• 9:30 Hrs: You've reached the peak! Take your time capturing those breathtaking panoramic views. Once you're ready to go back, descend using the same trail.
• At the end point, a four-wheel drive will be waiting to take you back to the registration office, where you'll receive a Certificate of Achievement!
• 12:00 Hrs: Refuel with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your accommodation in Kundasang.
• Dinner.
• Overnight.

Day 3

Overland Drive to Sandakan/ Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre/ Sandakan City Tour

• 08:00 Hrs: Overland drive to Sandakan. Arrival at Sandakan and transfer for lunch.
• After lunch, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve for video show. Visit the Nature Education Centre and watch the video documentary show to learn about the rehabilitation of orphaned orang utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to view the feeding platform. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 15:00 Hrs.
• Thereafter proceed for Sandakan City Tour. Visit various landmarks and historical points in Sandakan, once known as the "Little Hong Kong." The landmarks include:- Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple, Sandakan Central Market, The Sim-Sim Water Village.
• Continue the tour to Agnes Keith House (if time permits).
• Dinner.
• Check in & Overnight at Sabah Hotel.

Day 4

Kinabatangan River Cruise/ Bilit Rainforest Lodge/ Community Involvement Programme

• After breakfast, transfer (approximately 2 hours drive by land) to one of the world's richest ecosystems Kinabatangan River, Sukau. Journey to Sukau will pass by Oil Palm Plantations and rustic countryside studded with villages Arrive at Kampung Bilit, Sukau jetty. Take a short boat transfer to Bilit Rainforest Lodge. Time for orientation briefing, a welcome drink and check in. Lunch will be provided in the lodge restaurant.
• After lunch, boat transfer to Kampung Bilit Habitat for community involvement programme. Kumpung Bilit is where the nursery is located and this nursery cultivates tens of thousands of seedlings of many different tree species as food for the wild orang utans in the lower kinabatangan area. Engage in replanting of seedlings, removal of weeds that impede the growth of seedling and tree planting.
• At 1600hrs, take a river cruise in search of endemic proboscis monkeys, different species of birds & other wildlife along the river bank. One may also catch a glimpse of a wild Orang Utan, leaf monkeys, gibbons, macaques or the newly discovered “Borneon Pgymy Elephants”. Return for solar heated hot shower and buffet dinner.
• Overnight at Sukau Bilit Rainforest Lodge.

Day 5

Oxbow Lake/ Jungle Lake/ Gomantong Cave/ Kota Kinabalu

• Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills at 6am. A morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and jungle walking along the trails. Experience the wilderness of Borneo. Cruise back for late breakfast.
• After breakfast, check out and depart to Gomantong Cave located within the Gomantong forest reserve. Upon arrival, 15 minutes walk on the plank walk to the cave. Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of bats and swiflets. The nest of the swiflets are collected for the famous Chinese edible bird nest soup.
• After lunch, overland drive to Kota Kinabalu City.
• Dinner.
• Check in Gaya Centre 3* Hotel & Overnight.

Day 6

Mari Mari Cultural Village

• After Breakfast, transfer to Mari Mari Cultural Village. The village is located about 25 minutes away from the city. The journey will take you to long roads surrounded by a rich spectrum of greenery and overarched by wild blue skies.
• Upon arrival at the entrance of the village, you will be ushered to the warmth of different homes of the ethnicities of Sabah. Each home was built by descendants of the tribes they represent and offer you a truly genuine experience seeing everything in and around the village lends to its magical prowess of taking you back in time.
• As you traverse the village, you will find demonstration huts along the main houses in which daily activities of old times come into life. For example, the making of blowpipe, starting a fire (from Polod tree – you will learn the steps of making fire without the help of a lighter), tattoo-making (and its symbolisms) and etc.
• Have fun and enjoy the cultural dance shows performed by the tribes before proceeding for a delectable traditional Hi-Tea meal. Thereafter, visit Local Produce Outlets (Chocolates, Coffee, Cocoa, Sabah Tea, etc).
• Return back to Hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.
• Dinner.
• Overnight at hotel.

Day 7

Kiulu White Water Rafting

• Pick up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel in the morning and depart for Kiulu River (about 1 ½ hrs drive). Journey will pass through the countryside offering views of paddy fields and villages. Upon arrival, you will be briefed on safety measures and the various rapids by the river guide. Collection of rafting gear like helmets, life jackets and paddles will be provided and distributed.
• Start rafting down 9km of the Kiulu River. Feel the adrenaline rush through your bloodstream as you paddle through the bumpy riverbeds at neck breaking speeds to reach back to the ending point. Enjoy the out-skirting landscape of tropical rainforest as you cruise down getting to know the various points like body rafting, the wall rapid and holy smoke rapid.
• Arrive at the ending point. Change to dry clothing and enjoy a sumptuous BBQ lunch by the Kiulu River before heading back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
• Rest of the day free at leisure.
• Dinner.
• Overnight in hotel.
