Embark on an exciting 4D3N adventure that combines the thrill of climbing Mount Kinabalu with relaxing stays at Kinabalu Park and Kota Kinabalu. Perfect for adventurers and nature lovers, this tour offers the perfect mix of physical challenges with the chance to explore Sabah's stunning landscapes and unwind in comfort.

Your journey begins with an overnight stay at Kinabalu Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Geopark. This stop helps you adjust to the high altitude while enjoying the fresh mountain air. Along the way, visit Nabalu town to explore local crafts, fresh produce, and souvenirs.

The next day, take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kinabalu, trekking through diverse vegetation zones to reach Low’s Peak at 4,095.2 meters.  If the weather cooperates, you’ll be greeted with a spectacular sunrise that makes every step worthwhile.

Wrap up your adventure with a well-earned stay in Kota Kinabalu to unwind after your adventure and savour the city’s unique charm.

Day 1

Kota Kinabalu / Kinabalu Park HQ / Resort

Begin with a pick-up from your hotel or Kota Kinabalu International Airport for a 2-hour drive to Kinabalu Park Headquarters, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu Geopark.

Along the way, pass through local villages and enjoy stunning views of the Crocker Range valleys.

Stop at Nabalu, a popular spot for fresh produce, tropical fruits, vegetables, and handmade souvenirs.

Check into your accommodation at Kinabalu Park. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the cool mountain climate and serene surroundings.

End the day with dinner at Liwagu Restaurant and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2

Park HQ / Timpohon Gate / Ascend Mount Kinabalu / Panalaban Base Camp

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Liwagu Restaurant, then collect your packed lunch for the climb ahead.

Head to the Park HQ to register for the climb. Our guide will handle the paperwork, assign your mountain guide, and get your ID tag ready. Remember to wear your tag at all times.

Take a short transfer to Timpohon Gate, where your exciting journey to the summit of Borneo’s highest mountain begins.

The climb will take around 4-5 hours, leading you through different vegetation zones—from lush Oak and Chestnut forests to magical mossy landscapes and stunning alpine terrain.

Arrive at Panalaban Base Camp (3,272m) and settle into your cosy accommodation.

Wrap up the day with a buffet dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant and get a good night’s rest for tomorrow’s early morning climb.

Day 3

Low's Peak / Descend Mount Kinabalu / Kota Kinabalu

02:00 Hrs: Begin your day early with a light supper before departing for the final leg of your climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu.

The trek to Low’s Peak at 4,095 meters will challenge your fitness and determination. If the weather permits, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise over the majestic mountain.

07:00 Hrs: After reaching the summit, descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for a well-deserved late breakfast and check out.

Continue your descent to Timpohon Gate, where a transfer will take you back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters (arrival between 13:00 - 15:00 Hrs).

Celebrate your achievement with a Certificate of Achievement and a buffet lunch at Liwagu Restaurant.

Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City (approximately 2-hour drive) and check into your accommodation. Feel free to spend the evening at your leisure.

Note on Meals Arrangement: 

1. Dinner will be converted to packed dinner on Day 01 (Arrival Day) for any arrival to the resort after 21:00hrs. Please enquire with us regarding the dinner arrangement if your flight arrival to Kota Kinabalu is during the evening.

2. *Lunch will be converted to packed meal on Day 03 (Mt Kinabalu Descent) for climbers who arrive late and missed the local restaurant's opening hours. Restaurant Business Hour 07:00hrs - 20:00hrs

  • Climbers who reach Timpohon Gate after 16:30 Hrs will be imposed a fee of MYR 15 per hour per guide and need to pay directly to mountain guide on the spot.
  • Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.
  • Do take note that your passport will be required for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office. Please bring it along with you.
  • Check-out time for Laban Rata Resthouse is 10:00 Hrs. Should you check out later than 10:30 Hrs, a Late Check-Out Fee of MYR100/hour applies, to be paid directly on the spot.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 14:00 Hrs & 12:00 Hrs respectively. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.

1 Our friendly guide will meet you at your hotel lobby / greet you at the Airport arrival hall with a placard bearing your good name. Should you encounter difficulties in locating our guide, you can call our hotline number/s stated in your itinerary for further assistance.
2 We do not recommend climbers to catch your flight on the same day you descend the mountain due to possible delay from injuries, tiredness and/or bad weather and traffic conditions.
3a For 2-Day 1-Night packages, transportation will be arranged for Pick-Up from your Hotel between 06:00hrs - 07:00hrs. Our team will advise your Pick-Up time one (1) day before your departure. Kindly request your hotel for early or packed breakfast on the day of your tour.
3b For 2-Day 1-Night packages with ferrata, transportation will be arranged for Pick-Up from your Hotel between 06:00hrs - 06:45hrs. Our team will advise your Pick-Up time one (1) day before your departure. Kindly request your hotel for early or packed breakfast on the day of your tour.
4 For 3-Day 2-Nights packages and beyond, our transport can pick you up from either Airport OR your Hotel. Time is dependent on your arrival flight schedule. Please provide us your flight details.
5 Additional charges of MYR 80 per pax are applicable for outskirt hotels pick-ups. OutSkirt Charges are applicable for Hotels in One Borneo, Putatan, and within 20km radius of Kota Kinabalu City Centre.
6 All transportations are based on Seat-In-Coach. This is a transfer service in which clients share their vehicle with other clients. This is a door-to-door service with multiple pickups & drop-offs throughout the journey. Do expect some short waiting time.
7 After descending to Kinabalu Park HQ, climbers are subject to pre-determined pickup time set by Amazing Borneo Tours with the last transport returning to Kota Kinabalu city latest by 1930hrs. We will ensure your possible wait of not more than 2 hours at Park HQ. However, if you missed the last transport (which is unlikely) or wish to depart at your own preferred timing, we can arrange a vehicle for private transfer for you (Subject to availability). Please understand that the surcharge for any private transfer will have to be borne by you.
8 Private Transfer Surcharge:- MYR 450/vehicle/way
9 Our group rates are quoted without deviation, which means we provide only one return transfers for your group. If your group requires more than one return transfers, additional transfer charges may apply.
10 Baby Car Seats (for infant aged 0-2) and Child Booster Seats (for children aged 3-11) are available for rental. Please check with your tour consultant for availability.

It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart disease, severe anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.

Children below 15 years old must fill in the indemnity form upon registration at Park Headquarters.
