Mabul Island: Seaventures Dive Resort (Dive Rig) Print

• Most arriving guests fly to Tawau Airport from Kuala Lumpur or from Kota Kinabalu. There are frequent flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau (2.45 hrs) and from Kota Kinabalu (50 minutes).
• Once arriving in Tawau Airport, guests are picked-up by minibus to the town of Semporna (around 1.30-2 hours).
• From Semporna, guests are then taken by speedboat to Seaventures Resort next to Mabul island (approximately 30 minutes).
• Please make sure your flight arrives before 2pm to allow same day transfer to the resort.

• Guests must provide relevant and recognised forms of diving certifications to Seaventures to be eligible to dive.No Exceptions.
• All diving guests are eligible, with the exception of check in and check out days, for 3 boat dives per day at various dive sites, at the discretion of the dive team between Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai islands. All diving guests are also eligible for unlimited house reef diving, pending appropriate sea conditions.
• For safety reason, ALL divers have to dive with a dive computer. Sharing is not allowed.
• All divers are required to undergo a general dive and house rules briefing and orientation dive on their check-in day or whenever the Dive Manager deems appropriate.
• Any diver failing to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by Seaventures and the Dive Guides, will have their dive (s) forfeited without any provision for refunds.
• Seaventures will strive to honour all scheduled dives. However, due to any reason (s) whatsoever beyond our control, all dives are subject to take place at the discretion of the Dive Manager.
• Extra boat dives from those already scheduled within the reservation package will be at a cost and will be subject to Dive Manager's approval.
• Dive schedules will change from normal scheduling on the following religious holidays: EidUlFitr and EidUlAdha. These dates vary every year, so please check with local information services.
• For safety reasons, ALL divers MUST use a dive computer. Sharing is not allowed. Dive computer can be rented at RM 31.80 however please note that dive computer rental is limited.
• No diving activities provided on arrival day if guest (s) arrive at the Rig after 16:00hrs.
• Due to the provision of unlimited house reef diving and 3 boat dives as per schedule, for safety reasons and according to naval research, the duration of all dives are limited between 45 - 50 minutes inclusive of safety stop and no deeper than 30 metres (40 metres for deep specialty qualified divers only).
• All unguided diving are at divers' own risk and responsibility.
• Guests undergoing courses are required to complete the necessary skills up to the requirements deemed sufficient by PADI standards in order for certification. Course fees in any part will not be refunded for incomplete courses.
• Snorkeling is available at the guests’ own leisure and risk and must coincide with the boating schedules and boat  capacity. Divers always have right of way and priority on boats. Snorkeling guides are only provided upon request and subject to availability and at a cost.

To help preserve Sipadan’s world-famous marine ecosystem, the island observes its annual conservation break from 1–30 November each year for a period of natural recuperation.

During this time, diving activities at Sipadan will be paused, but the surrounding island resorts remain fully open — guests can still enjoy beautiful dive sites and island excursions in Tun Sakaran Marine Park.

Diving at Sipadan Island will resume on 1 December.

• All reservation MUST provide the following information: Name as per passport, Passport Number, Nationality, Gender & Flight detail
• Extension Stay: Extension Night Stay is permitted subject to the accommodation availability
• After commencement of service, no refund, in part or full, will be given for services included in the package which have not been utilized or due to bad weather
• Weather conditions: We cannot predict the weather conditions these days for scuba diving even for the best season
• Boat journey to the Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity.
