Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Apai Jetty / Ara Dinawan Island / Boat & Shore Snorkelling / Kayaking

08:00 Hrs: Enjoy a convenient pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Kota Kinabalu, followed by a 40-minute overland transfer to Apai Jetty. 

09:00 Hrs: Depart from the jetty for a 20-minute boat ride. 

09:20 Hrs: Arrive at Ara Dinawan Island and sip on a welcome drink. Surrounded by pristine waters, untouched forests, and a rich variety of flora and fauna, the island offers a serene, eco-friendly escape. Just 20 minutes from Kota Kinabalu, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking scenery and the distant calls of hornbills. 

10:00 Hrs: Start your island adventure with snorkeling, both by boat and along the shore, as you explore the vibrant underwater life. 

12:00 Hrs: Enjoy a leisurely beachside lunch. 

13:00 Hrs: After lunch, unwind with a kayaking session, riding the waves with a gentle sea breeze in the air. 

14:00 Hrs: Depart Ara Dinawan Island by boat and return to the mainland – your tour ends here.

  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of RM10/room/night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption. 
  • A minimum number of participants is required for this activity. If the minimum is not met, guests will be informed the day before and can choose to either reschedule or receive a full refund. 
  •  Children 12 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • All common areas (Dining Area and Clubhouse) have 24-hour electricity powered by solar energy. Electricity in the tents is available daily from 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM, provided by a generator.
  • A surcharge applies for additional guests, which includes full-board meals and an extra mattress. 
  • For cancellations made 4 to 7 days before the activity, 50% of the tour fee will be forfeited, in line with supplier terms and conditions. 
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.  
  • Activities are subject to weather conditions and may be re-organised to best meet operational situations.
