Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kota Kinabalu / North Borneo Sunset Dinner Cruise

Upon arriving in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon. 

In the evening, head to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty to board the North Borneo Cruise. Glide along the South China Sea, taking in panoramic sunset views from the upper deck or enjoying a live music ambience on the air-conditioned dining deck below. Indulge in a buffet dinner as islands and coastal lights create a magical backdrop. 

Return to the jetty and transfer back to your hotel for the night. 

Meals : Dinner Accommodation : The LUMA Hotel (or similar 4-star hotel)

Day 2 - Tamparuli Town / Nabalu Market / Rabbit Hideout / Kundasang War Memorial / Kundasang Market

After breakfast, travel to Tamparuli Town to cross the iconic Jambatan Tamparuli suspension bridge, celebrated in local folklore. 

Continue to Nabalu Market, where you can browse fresh produce and handicrafts with Mount Kinabalu in the background. 

At Marisini Recreation Park, enjoy family-friendly fun with its selfie garden and rabbit farm. 

Next, visit the Kundasang War Memorial, honouring WWII soldiers and locals affected by the war. 

Conclude the day at Kundasang Market, where you’ll find fresh produce and herbs. 

Transfer and check-in to your mountain resort for the night.

Day 3 - Sosodikon Hill / Desa Cow Farm / Alpaca Club / Kundasang Farmville

Begin with a sunrise hike up Sosodikon Hill, a short, easy trail offering sweeping views of the village and hills. 

Visit Desa Cow Farm, known as "Little New Zealand of Sabah," where Holstein Friesian cows roam. Feed calves, explore the farm, and sample fresh yoghurt and gelato. 

At the Alpaca Club, hand-feed the only alpacas in Sabah and observe these charming animals. 

Finally, explore Kundasang Farmville, featuring an aquaponic farm, selfie garden, ice cream bus, and café.

Day 4 - Kinabalu National Park / Poring Hot Spring / Canopy Walk / Sabah Tea Garden Cottage

After breakfast and check-out, visit Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of a UNESCO Global Geopark, rich in biodiversity, with over 4,500 plant species. 

Then, unwind at Poring Hot Spring in Japanese-inspired tubs, or refresh in the cool pool nearby. 

Embark on a Canopy Treetop Walk, 30 metres above ground, for a unique view of the rainforest. 

Later, check in to Sabah Tea Garden Cottage, nestled in lush tea plantations at the foothills of Mount Kinabalu, offering a serene evening with picturesque views.

Day 5 - Sabah Tea Factory & Plantation Tour / Fish Spa / Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast, take a guided tour of Sabah Tea Garden’s organic plantation and factory, learning about tea cultivation, processing, and packaging while surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature. 

Following check-out, experience a unique fish spa, where tiny local fish delicately remove dead skin, leaving your feet soft and supple. 

Finish the day with a scenic 3-hour drive back to Kota Kinabalu for an overnight hotel stay in the city.

Day 6 - Kota Kinabalu International Airport

  • If you are arriving in Kota Kinabalu at night on Day 1, the North Borneo Cruises tour can be rescheduled to Day 3 upon returning to Kota Kinabalu after your Kinabalu Park tour.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 14:00 Hrs & 12:00 Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times for your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.

About Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring:

  • Kinabalu Park is at a high altitude, approximately 1500 meters above sea level - it can get cold.
  • The Canopy Walkway is approximately 40 meters above the ground - not for the faint-hearted.
  • Poring Hot Spring opening hours: 08:00 Hrs - 17:00 Hrs (Daily), Canopy Walkway last entry 15:00 Hrs.
  • Poring Hot Spring Outdoor Bathtubs usage is chargeable at  MYR 10/- per tub.
  • There are ten (10) standard and five (05) deluxe Indoor Bathubs at Poring Hot Spring. Rates are at MYR 25/- per hour per standard indoor bathtub and MYR 35/- per hour per deluxe indoor bathtub (subject to availability).
  • The Slide Pool located in Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday for maintenance. Guests are able to purchase the entrance fee (at own expense) to Slide Pool for MYR 3/- per person. 
  • Kindly take note that camera fees apply before entering Canopy Walk. Cameras will be charged MYR 5 each, and video cameras / camcorders will be charged MYR 30 each.
  • The Butterfly Farm at the Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday.
  • Depending on the season, you may get the rare chance to spot the Rafflesia flowers in bloom, which only lasts for 3 to 5 days. They are located in the private gardens beside Poring Hot Springs. Entrance fees are at MYR 30 per person, though this will be at your own expense.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.  
  • Activities are subject to weather conditions and may be re-organised to best meet operational situations.

  • Flight Timing Guide:
    • Arrival:
      It is recommended to book flights which arrive in Kota Kinabalu before 15:00 Hrs on the first day in order to make it for the North Borneo Cruises. If your flight arrives after 15:00 Hrs, we will reschedule your cruise session to Day 4. 
    • Departure:
      You can book any flight time for departure from Kota Kinabalu on your last day.
