Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kota Kinabalu / North Borneo Sunset Dinner Cruise

Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to your hotel to check in and relax. 

Later, head to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty for a memorable evening on the North Borneo Cruise. 

Sail along the South China Sea, passing islands and water villages, with the option to soak up sunset views from the upper deck or enjoy live music and a buffet dinner as you soak in the cosy ambience on the air-conditioned dining deck below. 

Return to the jetty and transfer back to your hotel for the night. 

Meals : Dinner Accommodation : The LUMA Hotel (or similar 4-star hotel)

Day 2 - Tamparuli Town / Nabalu Market / Desa Cow Farm

After breakfast, journey to Tamparuli Town to cross the famed Jambatan Tamparuli suspension bridge, celebrated in local folklore. 

Continue to Nabalu Market for local produce and handicrafts, set against a backdrop of Mount Kinabalu. 

At Desa Cow Farm, often called "Little New Zealand of Sabah," meet Holstein Friesian cows, feed the calves, and sample fresh dairy products like yogurt and gelato, with an impressive monthly production of around 150,000 litres of milk.

Day 3 - Kinabalu National Park / Poring Hot Spring / Canopy Walk / Sabah Tea Garden Cottage

Start the day with breakfast and check out before visiting Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. With approximately 4,500 plant species, including endemic orchids, this park is a biodiversity hotspot. 

Afterwards, unwind at Poring Hot Spring with its Japanese-inspired mineral pools, or refresh in the nearby cold pool. A short hike leads you to the Canopy Treetop Walk, elevated 30 meters above the ground. 

Later, check-in at Sabah Tea Garden Cottage for an evening surrounded by tea estates and stunning views of Mount Kinabalu.

Day 4 - Sabah Tea Factory & Plantation Tour / Fish Spa / Kota Kinabalu

Enjoy breakfast before exploring Sabah Tea Garden’s organic tea plantation and factory. Learn about tea cultivation, from harvest to packaging, amid the tranquil scenery and chirping birds. 

Following check-out, head to a nearby fish spa where local fish delicately remove dead skin from your feet, leaving them soft and refreshed. 

Conclude the day with a scenic 3-hour transfer back to Kota Kinabalu, where you’ll check in for the night.

Day 5 - Kota Kinabalu International Airport

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for your departure – your tour ends here.

  • Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport on the day of your tour, our friendly guide will greet and pick you up from the airport with a placard showing our Amazing Borneo Logo.
  • If you are arriving in Kota Kinabalu at night on Day 1, the North Borneo Cruises tour can be rescheduled to Day 3 upon returning to Kota Kinabalu after your Kinabalu Park tour.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 14:00 Hrs & 12:00 Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times for your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
  • Some parts of your tour may involve moderate physical activity.  Comfortable footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.

About Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring:

  • Kinabalu Park is at a high altitude, approximately 1500 meters above sea level - it can get cold.
  • The Canopy Walkway is approximately 40 meters above the ground - not for the faint-hearted.
  • Poring Hot Spring opening hours: 08:00 Hrs - 17:00 Hrs (Daily), Canopy Walkway last entry 15:00 Hrs.
  • Poring Hot Spring Outdoor Bathtubs usage is chargeable at  MYR 10/- per tub.
  • There are ten (10) standard and five (05) deluxe Indoor Bathubs at Poring Hot Spring. Rates are at MYR 25/- per hour per standard indoor bathtub and MYR 35/- per hour per deluxe indoor bathtub (subject to availability).
  • The Slide Pool located in Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday for maintenance. Guests are able to purchase the entrance fee (at own expense) to Slide Pool for MYR 3/- per person. 
  • Kindly take note that camera fees apply before entering Canopy Walk. Cameras will be charged MYR 5 each, and video cameras / camcorders will be charged MYR 30 each.
  • The Butterfly Farm at the Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday.
  • Depending on the season, you may get the rare chance to spot the Rafflesia flowers in bloom, which only lasts for 3 to 5 days. They are located in the private gardens beside Poring Hot Springs. Entrance fees are at MYR 30 per person, though this will be at your own expense.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.  
  • Activities are subject to weather conditions and may be re-organised to best meet operational situations.

  • Flight Timing Guide:
    • Arrival:
      It is recommended to book flights which arrive in Kota Kinabalu before 15:00 Hrs on the first day in order to make it for the North Borneo Cruises. If your flight arrives after 15:00 Hrs, we will reschedule your cruise session to Day 4. 
    • Departure:
      You can book any flight time for departure from Kota Kinabalu on your last day.
