Upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to your Sandakan accommodation for check-in.
In the afternoon, you'll head to Labuk Bay Proboscis Sanctuary, where you can trek to observe the feeding of the unique Proboscis Monkeys and elusive Silver Leaf Langurs.
Return to your Sandakan accommodation for an overnight stay.
Start your day with a pick-up at your accommodation, then proceed directly to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, you'll watch a short video about the centre's rehabilitation efforts before heading to the feeding platform to witness orangutans and other monkeys being fed. You can also spend time observing the young orangutans in the enclosed nursery area.
After lunch, enjoy a 2.5-hour speedboat ride up the Kinabatangan River to Sukau Rainforest Lodge.
Once you have checked in, embark on a late afternoon cruise to spot Borneo's wildlife and bird species.
End your day with a delicious dinner at Melapi Restaurant, followed by a presentation and discussion with a naturalist guide.
Start your morning with a river cruise on the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap Oxbow Lake, where you can observe a variety of birds and wildlife.
After breakfast, take a guided nature walk along the lodge's Hornbill Boardwalk with an in-house naturalist.
Enjoy some free time after lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on another river cruise to continue your wildlife spotting.
After breakfast, check out and transfer by speedboat back to Sandakan.
Upon arrival in Sandakan, stop for lunch.
For those with afternoon flights, you'll be transferred to the airport for your 1430hrs flight to Kota Kinabalu.
For evening flights, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre, where you can enjoy views from the canopy walk and hanging bridge, and explore the botanical garden before heading to Sandakan Airport for your flight.
