About The Location

Kinabalu National Park

Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark, Kinabalu National Park is a botanical wonderland. Spanning 754 square kilometres at 1,500m above sea level, the park is home to 5,000–6,000 vascular plant species and is recognized as a global Centre of Plant Endemism. Its crowning jewel is Mount Kinabalu, standing tall at 4,095.2 meters, with cloud-kissed peaks that leave visitors in awe. The park offers attractions like a botanic garden featuring endemic flora, restaurants set amidst lush montane forests, and nature trails ranging from 20 minutes to 2-3 hours.

Desa Cow Farm

Nicknamed the "Little New Zealand of Sabah," Desa Cow Farm features 199 hectares of rolling green pastures where Friesian cows graze freely, producing nearly a million litres of fresh milk annually. Visitors can observe milk processing, enjoy fresh yoghurt, and even bottle-feed calves, a favourite family activity. With Mount Kinabalu as the stunning backdrop, it’s also a fantastic spot for capturing memorable photos.

Jambatan Tamparuli

In the quaint town of Tamparuli lies the iconic Jambatan Tamparuli, a suspension bridge rich in history and celebrated in a beloved local song. Stroll across this cultural landmark and explore the nearby market, brimming with local produce and a lively atmosphere. Just across the river, visit the cultural centre for deeper insights into the town’s heritage.

Nabalu

A charming stop en route to Kundasang, Nabalu invites you to explore its vibrant market, where you’ll find an assortment of fresh local produce and unique souvenirs. The highlight is the scenic viewpoint offering spectacular, unobstructed views of Mount Kinabalu, making it a must-visit destination for travellers.

Reviews

  • SookFoon 06/04/2024 Singapore

This tour offers opportunities to view the majestic trees. My group was fortunate to catch glimpses of Bornean White-Breaded Gibbons and Bornean Pygmy Squirrels. Please note that getting to the start of the canopy walk requires a 20 to 30-minute hike.

Our group also visited the Kipungit Waterfall, a short 15-minute walk from the Park entrance. It is well worth the visit, even if the height of the fall is not impressive. It is a cool place to stop over and have morning tea.

The highlight of our tour was the unexpected opportunity to view two Raffesia in bloom!

Joel, our guide from Amazing Borneo, is knowledgeable and informative. He has a keen eye for spotting wildlife and pointed them out to us.

  • Zainudin 29/02/2024 Singapore

The trip was memorable and enjoyable. Knowledgeable tour guide Yung and driver Vincent were amazing and fun with the family. Good job! Continue doing so. I would request him the next time we have a trip to Sabah again.

  • Ranaway 04/02/2024 Singapore

Had a really amazing trip provided by them, especially one of their staff, Joey. She provided a very good service to us, made the trip worry-free and we enjoyed the journey well~
