Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kuching / Sarawak Sunset River Cruise

Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, enjoy a convenient transfer to your hotel for check-in. 

In the late afternoon, head to the Kuching Waterfront to board a scenic sunset river cruise. Sail along the Sarawak River for 1.5 hours, passing historical landmarks such as the Astana, Brooke Dockyard, Kuching State Mosque, Old Court House, Square Tower, Main Bazaar, Chinese Museum, Fort Margherita, and several Malay villages along the riverbanks, while soaking in the beautiful sunset. 

After disembarking, indulge in a local dinner before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 - Bako National Park Day Trip / Cove 55

After breakfast, journey to Bako Fishing Village before boarding a boat to Bako National Park, famous for its rich ecosystems including mangroves, peat swamp forests, and heathlands. 

Trek through these diverse landscapes, encountering wildlife such as Proboscis Monkeys and Bearded Pigs, and enjoy stunning views of the South China Sea from hidden beaches or coastal cliffs. 

Later, check-in at Cove 55, a luxurious boutique hotel at the foot of Mount Santubong, where you can relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Day 3 - Sarawak Cultural Village / Irrawaddy Dolphin Wildlife & Fireflies Cruise

Start the day by exploring the Sarawak Cultural Village, an award-winning ‘living museum’ that highlights the traditions of Sarawak’s various ethnic groups. 

After experiencing traditional crafts and performances, transfer to Santubong Jetty for a wildlife cruise along the Santubong and Salak Rivers. Keep an eye out for Irrawaddy Dolphins, estuarine crocodiles, and a variety of birds. 

As dusk falls, witness the magical glow of fireflies illuminating the mangrove forests before returning to Cove 55 for the night.

Day 4 - Fairy & Wind Caves / Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre / Kuching

After breakfast, check out from Cove 55 and travel to Bau, Sarawak, for a tour of the Fairy Caves, known for their stunning limestone formations and rich vegetation. The caves are also home to Taoist shrines and altars, adding a spiritual element to your exploration. 

Afterward, transfer to your hotel in Kuching for check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. 

Continue to the Wind Caves, named for the refreshing breeze that flows through them, and take in the impressive geological formations.

Day 5 - Departure OR Extend Tour

Following breakfast, check out and transfer to Kuching International Airport for your flight. 

Alternatively, extend your trip with a Kuching City Tour or a visit to the Borneo Cultural Museum (with lunch) for an additional cost.
