Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Kota Kinabalu / North Borneo Cruises - Sunset Dinner Cruise

Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. 

In the evening, make your way to the Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty for an enchanting evening aboard North Borneo Cruises! 

Sail along the South China Sea, passing islands and water villages. Relax on the upper deck for breathtaking sunset views or head to the cosy, air-conditioned dining deck below, complete with live music. 

Savour a delicious buffet as the lights of the waterfront begin to glow. 

Conclude your journey back at the jetty and return to your hotel for the evening.

Day 2 - Tamparuli Town / Nabalu Market / Rabbit Wonderland / Kundasang War Memorial / Kundasang Market

After breakfast, travel 1 hour to Tamparuli Town to explore Jambatan Tamparuli, an iconic suspension bridge steeped in local folklore, so beloved that it even inspired a song and stage production in its name. 

Continue to Nabalu Town’s market to browse fresh produce and handicrafts set against stunning views of the majestic Mount Kinabalu. 

Stop by Marisini Recreation Park, a mini-theme park and the perfect stopover for some family-friendly fun. Here, you can visit the in-house rabbit farm and take fun photos in the selfie garden. 

Visit the Kundasang War Memorial, which honours soldiers lost in the Sandakan Death Marches of WWII, as well as the suffering of locals during the war. 

Make a final stop at Kundasang Market for fresh produce and herbs before checking in to your mountain resort.

Day 3 - Sosodikon Hill / Desa Cow Farm / Alpaca Club / Kundasang Farmville

Begin with a sunrise hike up Sosodikon Hill, a short, beginner-friendly trail offering breathtaking views of the surrounding village. 

Visit Desa Cow Farm, known as "Little New Zealand of Sabah," where you can encounter Holstein Friesian cows, feed calves, and taste fresh dairy products like yoghurt and gelato. It is estimated that about 150,000 litres of fresh milk is produced here monthly. 

Head to the Alpaca Club to observe and feed adorable alpacas, the only facility of its kind in Sabah. 

Visit Kundasang Farmville, offering attractions like an aquaponic farm, selfie garden, ice cream bus, and a café.

Day 4 - Kinabalu National Park / Poring Hot Spring / Canopy Walk / Fish Spa / Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast and check-out, visit Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of a UNESCO Global Geopark, home to thousands of unique plant and animal species. 

Continue to Poring Hot Spring for a relaxing soak in mineral-rich waters, with options for both hot and cold pools. 

Take a canopy walk 30 metres above the forest floor for panoramic views. 

Stop by a fish spa, where local fish nibble on your feet for a natural pedicure. 

Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5 - Kota Kinabalu International Airport

  • Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport on the day of your tour, our friendly guide will greet and pick you up from the airport with a placard showing our Amazing Borneo Logo.
  • If you are arriving in Kota Kinabalu at night on Day 1, the North Borneo Cruises tour can be rescheduled to Day 3 upon returning to Kota Kinabalu after your Kinabalu Park tour.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 14:00 Hrs & 12:00 Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times for your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
  • Some parts of your tour may involve moderate physical activity.  Comfortable footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.

About Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring:

  • Kinabalu Park is at a high altitude, approximately 1500 meters above sea level - it can get cold.
  • The Canopy Walkway is approximately 40 meters above the ground - not for the faint-hearted.
  • Poring Hot Spring opening hours: 08:00 Hrs - 17:00 Hrs (Daily), Canopy Walkway last entry 15:00 Hrs.
  • Poring Hot Spring Outdoor Bathtubs usage is chargeable at  MYR 10/- per tub.
  • There are ten (10) standard and five (05) deluxe Indoor Bathubs at Poring Hot Spring. Rates are at MYR 25/- per hour per standard indoor bathtub and MYR 35/- per hour per deluxe indoor bathtub (subject to availability).
  • The Slide Pool located in Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday for maintenance. Guests are able to purchase the entrance fee (at own expense) to Slide Pool for MYR 3/- per person. 
  • Kindly take note that camera fees apply before entering Canopy Walk. Cameras will be charged MYR 5 each, and video cameras / camcorders will be charged MYR 30 each.
  • The Butterfly Farm at the Poring Hot Springs is closed every Monday.
  • Depending on the season, you may get the rare chance to spot the Rafflesia flowers in bloom, which only lasts for 3 to 5 days. They are located in the private gardens beside Poring Hot Springs. Entrance fees are at MYR 30 per person, though this will be at your own expense.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.  
  • Activities are subject to weather conditions and may be re-organised to best meet operational situations.

    • Arrival:
      It is recommended to book flights which arrive in Kota Kinabalu before 14:00 Hrs on the first day in order to make it for the North Borneo Cruises. If your flight arrives after 14:00 Hrs, we will reschedule your cruise session to Day 4. 
    • Departure:
      You can book any flight time for departure from Kota Kinabalu on your last day.
