Sample itinerary

Day 1 - KOTA KINABALU / TAMBUNAN TOWN / CAMP 1

  • 09:00hrs Depart from Kota Kinabalu.
  • 11:00hrs Arrived at Tambunan and lunch.
  • 13:00hrs Depart to Sinua Base Camp.
  • 16:00hrs Arrival at Sinua Base Camp 1 where you will be staying for 1 night.
  • 18:00hrs Dinner.

Meals : Lunch / Dinner Accommodation : Camp 1

Day 2 - CAMP 1 / CAMP 2

  • 07:00hrs Wake up and enjoy your breakfast.
  • 08:00hrs Break camp and start hike (total length of 8km and an elevation gain of 1000 meters asl.) Trekking will take over 5-6 hours.
  • 14:00hrs Arrive at Camp 2 & have lunch. Relax and enjoy the views and short jungle walks around the campsite.
  • 18:00hrs Dinner.

Day 3 - CAMP 2 / SUMMIT

  • 01:30hrs Wake up and have your breakfast before your climb.
  • 02:00hrs Start your climb to Summit Nuluhon Trusmadi (4.4KM).
  • 05:30hrs Reach the summit to view the sunrise.
  • 07:00hrs Descend back to Camp 2 where you will be staying for 1 night.
  • 11:00hrs Arrived at Camp 2. Enjoy lunch and relax at the camp.
  • 18:00hrs Dinner.

Day 4 - CAMP 2 / CAMP 1 / KOTA KINABALU

  • 07:00hrs Breakfast.
  • 08:00hrs Descend back to Camp 1.
  • 11:00hrs Arrived at the base camp. Enjoy lunch before your journey home.
  • 13:00hrs Proceed to Kota Kinabalu.
  • 16:00hrs Arrive Kota Kinabalu.

  • Climbers are required to book date at least one month before climbing. 
  • You are not allowed to open or create any new trails and required to follow exisiting trail only.
  • There is a limit of 5 climbers to one guide during each trip.
  • Cutting of tree or plants whether dead or alive is strictly prohibited. 
  • Things to bring including rain coat, sweater, torch light, appropriate shoes for hiking and socks.
  • Please bring your own extra clothes and bath items (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc…)

You also need to know:

  • This trail is physically challenging.  Please ensure you are relatively fit to climb this mountain.
  • It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart disease, severe anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
  1. Warm clothing (Temperature can be freezing at times)
  2. A torch light (To light your way during the pre-dawn climb and to signal for help when needed)/ A head Torch
  3. A rain coat (To protect you from rain and wind, and it will slow down the loss of body heat)
  4. A whistle (Only to be used when is needed.)
  5. Some energy food and water, e.g. extra chocolate, glucose, tablets, biscuits (For emergency-use when you are waiting for help to arrive)
  6. Leech socks
  7. Good trekking shoes
  8. Waterproof bag to store your belongings
  9. Jacket/ Windbreaker
  10. Personal Toiletries
  11. Gloves (For protection from cold and while holding on to ropes)
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.
