Take a hike up St. Veronica Hill (or Bukit Perahu) to start the morning with a gorgeous sunrise set against panoramic views of Tamparuli Town nestled amongst mountainous terrain and verdant valleys. Amp up your adventures of the day with Grade 1 – 2 White Water Rafting along the rapids of Kiulu River to trigger a tinge of adrenaline rush.

Along your drive towards the bustling Nabalu Handicraft Market, get whooshed into the lush countryside that laces the outskirts of Kota Kinabalu city. Soak up the charms of the locals selling local products, this rustic experience will allow you to explore Sabah like a local. Taste test from a variety of tropical fruits and take home some mementoes of your visit to this hillside marvel.

Pay a visit to cattle that graze the greens of Kundasang at the Desa Cow Farm. This family-friendly tour is both educational and engaging, tickling the fancy of any age with activities such as feeding calves and getting a taste of dairy products fresh from the farm! Known as Sabah’s Little New Zealand, get your best Instagram shots with Mount Kinabalu and vast greenery as your backdrop.

After all that time “in the mountains”, get whisked back to the urbanscapes of Kota Kinabalu city. Hop onto North Borneo Cruises for the perfect sunset view complete with an all-you-can-eat International Buffet and Live Band Entertainment. This 2-hour voyage will be a feast for the senses as you witness a blazing sunset and city lights come alive along the sultry South China Sea.

Sample itinerary

Day 1 - ST. VERONICA’S HILL SUNRISE HIKE / TAMPARULI / KIULU WHITE WATER RAFTING / KUNDASANG / KINABALU PINE RESORT

  • Pick up from hotel before sunrise.
  • Take a leisurely drive through the scenic countryside of Tamparuli Town.
  • Upon arrival at St. Veronica’s Hill, begin your trek up 278 metres above sea level to the summit.
  • After a refreshing morning hike, you will be rewarded with stellar views of your lush surroundings and Sabah’s gorgeous sunrise.
  • Make your way back down and grab some breakfast!
  • Be transferred over to Kiulu River let the adrenaline build up for your White Water Rafting activity!
  • Upon arrival, you will be briefed on the safety measures and the condition of the rapids by your River Guide. Proceed to collect your rafting gear such as helmets, paddles, and life jackets before braving the Grade 1- 2 rapids of Kiulu River!
  • After an exhilarating time on the rapids, it’s time to recharge with lunch.
  • Spend the rest of the day with a leisurely trip through Nabalu Town onwards to Kundasang.
  • Stop by the handicraft market to purchase souvenirs and taste local tropical fruit.
  • After a fun-filled day, grab yourself a hearty dinner and end the day with an overnight stay at Kinabalu Pine Resort.

Day 2 - DESA CATTLE DAIRY FARM / KINABALU PARK / NORTH BORNEO CRUISES - SUNSET DINNER CRUISE

  • Awake bright and early for some breakfast and take in gorgeous morning views of the mountain.
  • Head over to Desa Cow Farm to spend time with tamed cattle as they graze vast farmland in the cool breeze of Kundasang.
  • Take the opportunity to feed calves, taste fresh dairy products, and snap Instagram-worthy photos for keeps!
  • After a morning appetizer of fresh dairy gelato and milk, it’s time to fill those tummies with a warm meal for lunch.
  • Head over to Kinabalu Park, Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark. Enjoy a scenic drive through hilly terrain overlooking vast valleys. Feel the cool breeze and take in the fresh air from the mountain.
  • You’ll be ushered back to Kota Kinabalu city to board your North Borneo Cruises sunset cruise!
  • Cruise along to the tunes of the Live Band Entertainment, indulge in an all-you-can-eat international buffet, and enjoy stunning sunset views from the 3 sundecks available.
  • Get some rest and settle into your room at Kota Kinabalu 4-Star Luma Hotel for the night.

Day 3 - DEPART FROM KOTA KINABALU

  • Bid your power adventure trip in Sabah farewell as you are transferred to Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

  • For Desa Cow Farm:
    • Located in chilly Kundasang, at approximately 1500 meter above sea level.
    • You can choose to wait at the resting area if you do not wish to proceed for any of the nature walks.
    • Get up close and add a personal touch to the experience by bottle and grass feeding calves, an activity families will surely enjoy (at own expenses).
