Our adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel lobby, where you will be transported into a world of natural wonders and unique experiences through Sabah's breathtaking countryside.
Our first stop will be Tamparuli Town. Stroll along the iconic "Jambatan Tamparuli" suspension bridge while basking in the delightful ambience of this charming little town.
As we continue our expedition through the picturesque mountainous roads of the Crocker Range, we will make a brief stop at Nabalu town. Located on a hillside, the town is where locals showcase their vibrant array of produce, fruits, and homegrown vegetables. Make sure to visit Nabalu Handicraft Market for exquisite souvenirs.
Next, we will embark on a 1.5-hour drive to Sabah Tea Garden, and take a quick stop at Sabah Tea Restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we will head for a guided tour of the plantation and factory. Here, you will gain insights into the fascinating world of organic pesticide-free tea cultivation, including the harvesting and processing of the leaves to its packaging and brewing.
Enveloped by the soothing melodies of chirping birds and the refreshing mountain breeze, you'll find yourself captivated by the allure of the surrounding rainforests.
You will spend the night at the serene Sabah Tea Garden Cottage, nestled amidst the sprawling tea estate 700 metres above sea level in the foothills of majestic Mount Kinabalu. As the sun begins its gentle descent, casting an enchanting glow, you will relish in the tranquillity of this secluded haven, with the awe-inspiring mountain serving as a breathtaking backdrop to your evening.
Good morning! Wake up to a misty morning, where the veiled sun illuminates the majestic Mount Kinabalu. The air is filled with the melodies of chirping birds, while the valleys below are cloaked in a gentle embrace of low-hanging clouds.
Take a leisurely stroll through the sprawling tea estate or unwind on your private balcony, immersing yourself in the serene surroundings.
After checking out of your accommodation, we will embark on a scenic 30-minute drive to Poring Hot Spring, where a blissful experience awaits you in the Japanese-inspired open-air tubs. Indulge in a soothing sulphur bath as you are immersed in the all-natural mineral-rich waters, surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens. For those seeking a refreshing dip, a nearby cold water pool is available.
Your exploration continues at the Canopy Treetop Walk. Suspended 30 metres above the lush jungle, the 105-metre walkway invites you to witness the grandeur of a rainforest that has thrived for millions of years. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna from the treetop, and keep an eye out for rare and exquisite bird species. A brief 20-minute hike is required to reach the Canopy Walkway.
Savour a delectable lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, we will venture to Malaysia's first-ever UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark, Kinabalu National Park. Situated 1,500 metres above sea level, this vast 754-square-kilometre park showcases the magnificent Mount Kinabalu, one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia. With its towering peak reaching 4,095.2 metres and majestic cloud-draped summits, the mountain is a wonderful sight from within Kinabalu National Park.
The park boasts an impressive array of biodiversity, with an estimated 4,500 plant species, including 1,500 orchid species, 77 of which are unique to Kinabalu. It is also home to 289 bird species and 290 butterfly species. Enjoy the refreshing and cool mountain air as you embark on a guided walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden.
